According to Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc., at around 1:40 pm on the 24th, a fire broke out from the cable of the temporary power panel that was placed near Unit 3 under regular inspection at the Genkai Nuclear Power Station, but the work was nearby. The staff immediately put it out with a fire extinguisher.



After that, the fire department that received the report confirmed the fire extinguishing at the site at 2:35 pm.



At the Genkai Nuclear Power Station, Unit 4 is in normal operation, but it does not affect the operation, and there is no particular change in the values ​​of the monitoring posts that measure the radiation level in the atmosphere.



The cable that broke out was a facility related to the periodic inspection of Unit 3 and was connected to the temporary power panel.
