There will be “an interactive opera for toddlers from 3 months to 3 years old”.

Introducing musical creation from an early age is the goal of the new meeting at the “Musica” festival in Strasbourg, in eastern France.

On the menu of “Mini Musica”: ten musical proposals, including prenatal workshops.

The kickoff is this Thursday, September 24.

It is a festival within a festival that touches on all aspects of musical creation: from whimsical songs to experimental or theatrical compositions.

Five shows in four days, to the delight of little ears.

 explains Stéphane Roth, director of Musica and Mini Musica. 

It is an interactive opera specifically designed for the attention of toddlers from 3 months to 3 years old.

Bibilolo

, by contemporary composer Marc Monnet, awarded the Grand Prix des Lycéens around 2000, in the form of an object theater.

New audience

Toys, pygmy songs, Irish ritornellos and jazzy accents mingle happily with the sound decor.

“Chewing Gum Silence, 

by Samuel Achache and saxophonist Antonin Tri Hoang, is a very sweet, very funny and very deep piece at the same time.

We find ourselves faced with two archivists who classify melodies, who repair them and it's all a reflection on listening, on these heady melodies that remain in our heads and perhaps also on how to get rid of them. [to laugh].

” 

New format, new audience.

Of those who have reserved their seats in advance, 60% have never been to Musica since the festival was created 38 years ago.
