The Fugecun Tunnel of the China-Laos Railway, which was constructed by China Railway Eighth Bureau, was completed on September 22.
This is the last long tunnel on the entire China-Laos Railway.
The Fuge Village Tunnel is 8936 meters long and is the fourth longest tunnel on the China-Laos Railway.
The China-Laos Railway is a strategic docking project between China’s “Belt and Road” initiative and Laos’ “turning a land-locked country into a land-linked country”.
The project started in December 2016 and is scheduled to be completed and opened to traffic in December 2021.
