On the charge of "unjust endangering" ... the indictment of an American policeman who killed a black woman

A Louisville police officer was charged with three counts of "unjust endangerment" today, in connection with the shooting last March of a 26-year-old black woman.

And the judge announced, Annie O'Connell, charges brought by a grand jury against Brett Hankson, one of the three police officers involved in the fatal shooting, according to Agence France-Presse.

The woman’s death fueled anti-racism protests in Louisville, Kentucky, for weeks, and became one of the nationwide milestones of the Black Lives Matter movement demanding police reform.

Taylor, an emergency room technician, was shot dead in her apartment when three plainclothes police officers executed a "no-roads" search warrant late at night.

Her boyfriend took a pistol and exchanged fire with the officers.

He later said that he thought they were criminals.

The officers, who did not turn on their body cameras as required, shot Taylor multiple times, killing her.

A police sergeant was injured.

And Louisville last week settled a wrongful murder lawsuit with the Taylor family for $ 12 million.

A state of emergency was declared in the city and large parts of it were closed for fear of angry protests.
