Captain Lee Geun, famous for his YouTube content'Fake Man', participated in the rescue during the Sewol ferry disaster in 2014, but conveyed his sad feelings because he was unable to do anything amid the pride battle between the navy and the sea police.

In an interview video with the YouTube channel'KOREA NOW' released on the 17th, Captain Lee Geun talked about the situation in which he had participated in the rescue of the Sewol ferry in the past.

"It was after I was discharged from the military at the time, and after hearing the news, the first thought in my mind was,'I have to do anything.' So I looked for some help, and I and American divers and I did it. "We set up a rescue team. Our goal was to go out to sea and help the remaining dead."

"The Korean divers did their job really well. The Korean divers found most of the dead," Li Geun praised the Korean divers' performance at the time, saying, "The reason I formed a team with Americans is "Because there was special equipment."

But Lieutenant Geun Lee said, "There was a problem." I did not see. The purpose was to save people, or to find the dead, but a power battle took place."

"It didn't feel good, because it took a lot of effort to form a team. We were ready to get it, and all we needed was approval. But watching the faction fight, and the way people don't want us in, It's also a matter of pride.. Looking at it, "Wow, really..." "Is this the real situation?"

“I wanted to talk about my real pride in this situation,” he expressed his feelings of disappointment at the time.

Lieutenant Geun Lee said, "I won't talk about more things," but said, "But it was a matter of pride at the time. So we weren't put in."
