A Syrian young man commits suicide in mourning for his father, who was lost in the Beirut Port explosion

A Syrian boy committed suicide by hanging in his home, in grief for his missing father since the Beirut port explosion.

The teenage boy, Hafez Karam, hanged himself in his home in the village of Tildra, in the city of Salamiyah, in the central Hama governorate.

Al-Hurra TV reported that the 17-year-old Karam was still a high school student. His life had changed dramatically after the big explosion that shook Beirut, which resulted in losing news of his father and not knowing his fate yet.

The sources said that not knowing the fate of the father caused a great loss for the teenage son who found himself without any financial aid, especially since his mother is a housewife and does not work.
