An American company bets on a drug for the Corona virus: We are awaiting official approvals
A US pharmaceutical company said that it has submitted a request to the US Food and Drug Administration to approve a drug as a possible treatment for the Corona virus.
The company «ARCA Biopharma» which is based in the US state of Colorado, in a statement, that it is awaiting official approvals to start the stages of clinical trials on the drug called «AB201», which is expected to end before the end of 2020.
The company's executive director, Doctor Michael Bristow, stated that the drug - which was tested on 700 patients - had therapeutic properties to combat Corona, and virus-related diseases, according to the Mayo Clinic website.
The doctor pointed out that the data for initial trials showed the safety of the drug before starting the stages of clinical trials on a larger scale.
