Rockfall caused serious damage to the two bridges. Damaged, two-way traffic on the Iasi Expressway was interrupted.
After the danger occurred, traffic control measures have been taken on the relevant sections of the Yaxi Expressway.
All vehicles from Ya'an to Xichang depart from Hanyuan North Station and Shimian Station; all vehicles from Xichang to Ya'an depart from Yihai Toll Station via Yihai Security Checkpoint.

According to reports, at present, after consultation with relevant departments and experts, the detour route for the trolley is clearly defined as: Jingkun Expressway Asbestos Station via National Highway 108 to Liangqiao, Provincial Highway 217 to Ganluo, and National Highway 245 to Vietxizhong So, take Provincial Highway 218 to Xide Mianshan, and take National Highway 550 to National Highway 108 to Lugu Town (which can be transferred to Jingkun Expressway Lugu Station). The total length is 223 kilometers.
At the same time, because trucks have higher management standards, the detour route of trucks requires the highway department to evaluate the conditions along the route before making a final decision.
It is understood that the expert team has conducted a preliminary inspection of the damaged bridge piers and columns, and used drones to inspect the collapsed mountain and found that there are still cracks on the top of the slope.
The transportation department is conducting safety and health inspections on the left damaged bridge, assessing the geological conditions of the dangerous rock on the side slope, scientifically determining the plan for securing the passage, and resuming the road traffic between the Panxi area and the Chengdu plain area as soon as possible.

"We will do our best to restore the basic traffic conditions of National Highway 108 as soon as possible." The person in charge of the relevant department of Shimian County, Ya'an City, said that due to the huge amount of landslides on the site, the local authorities will take the Organizing forces for a time, through the construction of access roads, clearing of earth and stone, etc., to carry out clearing of National Highway 108.
Currently, the Shimian County expressway exit is temporarily blocked, and the local public security department is easing traffic in an orderly manner.
