Figures released Monday by Public Health France show an increase in the epidemic.

France recorded 5,298 new cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours, less than this weekend, but the positivity rate increased for the third day in a row, according to data released Monday by Public Health France.

This is less than this weekend, when the country had counted nearly 13,500 new cases on Saturday and more than 10,500 new cases on Sunday.

The figures for Monday generally mark a brake on the figures for other days, due to the Sunday closure of laboratories in particular.
