This Sunday, France recorded more than 10,500 new cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours, less than the day before.

But one indicator is on the rise: the positivity rate.

For the second day in a row, the proportion of the number of positive people in relation to the total number of people tested increased to 5.7% (against 5.6% the day before), according to data released Sunday by Public Health France.

41 more hospitalizations

The number of new positive cases is 10,569.

But Sunday's figures are generally down from previous days, due to the closure of testing laboratories.

In addition, 3,894 Covid patients were hospitalized over the last seven days - or 41 more compared to the figures announced the day before -, including 593 in intensive care (the same number as on Saturday), said the public health service. .

Since the start of the epidemic, at least 31,585 deaths linked to Covid have been recorded in France, or 12 more than the day before, including 20,725 in hospitals.
