“I would wake up in the morning realizing that I was Lady Gaga.

I became depressed and super sad, I didn't want to be myself anymore.

I felt threatened by the things that my career had brought about in my life, and the rhythm of my life, ”she explained, clearly affected by her daily life for the past six months.

“I spent a lot of time in a catatonic state, where I didn't want to do anything.

And finally, I started to make music again and tell my story with my album, ”adds the star.

Find the light

This explains, according to Lady Gaga, why one of the main themes of

Chromatica

is the search for light, when everything is dark.

It seems that this concept is at the heart of his concerns at the moment since it will also be the theme of his new book,

Channel Kindness

, which comes out next week, written with four hands with his mother, Cynthia Germanotta.

The work of @btwfoundation and @channelkindness has always been driven by young people who are leading the way with kindness, bravery, and resilience.

I'm proud of their voices and important stories, that we share alongside mine, in BTWF's first ever book #CHANNELKINDNESS, available 9/22.

“There are things that create heart-to-heart highways, where you can have compassion and empathy, where you can celebrate each other's resilience.

When I was younger and had mental issues, my mom didn't know how to communicate with me about it.

We found a way to channel kindness into our lives in a way that also healed our relationship, ”she explained.
