Tan Dezhi appeared in Fanling Magistracy on September 8 and was charged with five counts of publishing seditious writing and one count of disturbing behavior in a public place. He was not allowed to bail.

He applied for bail in the Hong Kong High Court on the 17th, but was rejected by the court.

  According to previous reports by Hong Kong media, Tan Dezhi was suspected of publishing seditious texts this year and was arrested by the National Security Office of the Hong Kong Police Force earlier this month.

Tan Dezhi held an illegal assembly outside the Kowloon Bay MTR station on the evening of August 23 this year. During this period, he chanted the number of the chaotic port during the "Regulation Amendment Disturbance". The police immediately raised the purple flag to warn Tan Dezhi that he might violate Hong Kong's national security law.

In July of this year, Tan Dezhi was arrested by the police and charged with 3 counts, including 1 inciting others to participate in unapproved assembly, 1 inciting intent, and 1 misconduct in a public place.
