The "Volunteer Leaders 2020" program, launched by the Watani Al Emarat Foundation, announced the names of the winning initiatives and teams, during the ceremony that was held yesterday at the "Dubai Opera".

Projects that were distinguished by their innovative ideas that serve the objectives of the program were chosen.

The program seeks to integrate Emirati youth in the process of community development and inspire them to be pioneers in volunteer work, strengthen their sense of belonging to the country, establish a culture of teamwork, enhance their positive values ​​and develop their abilities and talents, through training, guidance and direct guidance.

During the meeting, a group of six initiatives that have reached the final stage were presented, while three were selected from among them.

Member of the Federal National Council and Executive Director of the Watani Al Emarat Foundation, Dirar Belhoul Al Falasi, said: “The homeland, youth and the future are vocabulary through which we test the stability of our steps, the clarity of our vision and the safety of our goals, because these vocabulary weighs ideas, actions and behavior in the balance of the national ethical and human values ​​system that guards Our presence and fortifies our personalities and puts us on the right path ».

He pointed out that the launch of the Volunteer Leaders Program aims to consolidate the spirit of leadership in volunteer work, because volunteer work is a philosophy of goodness, giving, behavior and work, whether at the individual level or at the community level.

He noted that the "Volunteer Leaders 2020" program, in its first version, crowns an elite of Emirati youth, and is a leap in the field of volunteer work and dealing with it academically, as it is a day of pride for the energies of the nation and its youth who worked with all their energies despite the challenges that were a reason to multiply effort and work, especially youth and their awareness. Creativity and their representation of the principles on which the program was based.

The Director of the National Activities Department at the Watani Al Emarat Foundation, Tamima Maysar, talked about the importance of promoting volunteer work, as it promotes a culture of goodness and people that promotes the spirit of good citizenship, which enhances national belonging and the Emirati national identity, and enables Emirati youth from their social, national and humanitarian activities.

She pointed out that the volunteer leaders program, in its first version, is the first of its kind at the state level, and is considered a tributary to support the efforts witnessed by the country, and is a scientific and cultural approach.
