On the morning of September 15th, a truck transporting garlic cloves from other places scattered some garlic cloves to the roadside at the junction of Suxianshi Township and Anhui. The surrounding people rushed to the scene to pick them up after hearing the news.
At about 16:25, a truck transporting gravel entered the mall from Anhui. It rolled over on this section of the road, hurting the people who were picking up garlic cloves.
After the full rescue by multiple departments in Shangcheng County, all rescues were completed as of 23:00 that day.
After checking the casualties in the accident, it was confirmed that 2 people died at the scene, 6 people died in the county people’s hospital, and 11 people were injured and sent to the county hospital for treatment. The current injuries are basically stable.
At present, the rescue and aftermath work is being carried out intensively, and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
