Almost 40 years of career

The artist with some 40 years of career, who has broken all kinds of taboos on sex or religion, will produce this new biopic for Universal Studios.

Madonna will also be a co-writer, alongside Diablo Cody, who won the Oscar for Best Screenplay for

Juno

(2007).

“I want to share the incredible journey that life has taken me on, as an artist, musician, dancer,” said Madonna, 62.

“Music will always be at the center of the film.

It's the music that keeps me going and the art that keeps me alive.

There are so many inspiring stories that no one has heard, and who better than me to tell them?

It is essential to share my life in the form of a roller coaster, with my voice and my vision ”.

“Madonna is the icon par excellence,” said the president of the Universal Filmed Entertainment group.

“With her singular talent for creating art that is both accessible and pushing back borders, she has forged our culture as rarely”.

Madonna's press release does not specify when the film will be released, which will be produced by Amy Pascal (

Daughters of Doctor March

and

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

).
