Graphic ... "The Web", an unprecedented view of far space

NASA has set October 31, 2021, the date for the agency's "James Webb" space telescope to launch from French Guiana, after the launch was delayed from its previous date, which was scheduled for summer 2018 due to technical challenges and the effects of the recent Corona virus pandemic.

The launch decision is based on risk assessment and completion of the remaining tests prior to launch.

"NASA" hopes that the "James Webb" space telescope will be able to detect the faint light coming from distant galaxies, which previous telescopes were unable to capture, to obtain more information about the origins of the universe than the "Hubble" space telescope can currently.
