Lady Gaga may soon be joining the Marvel Universe.

According to the generally well-informed WeGotThisCovered site, the singer could be recruited by the studio to play the White Queen, alias Emma Frost, member of the X-Men.

Overpowered telepath, who starts (in the comics) as a villain before becoming a superheroine and the leader of the X-Men, Emma Frost is a character that has become central to Marvel, which could make Lady Gaga a staple in the MCU.

The return of mutants

This isn't the first time Emma Frost will appear on the big screen, as the character was played by January Jones in

X-Men: First Class

, released in 2011. But her portrayal had not been appreciated by fans of comics and now that the X-Men have to join the MCU after Disney's takeover of Fox (and

Dark Phoenix's

failure

in 2019, which resulted in 133 million losses), the Hollywood giant is likely to be keen to put the package so that the mutants come back in force.

Hiring Lady Gaga, still crowned with her Oscar nomination for

A Star is Born

, would be a good way to rekindle interest in the super-mutant team.

Still, for the moment, Disney has not announced anything about its plans for the franchise.

It is therefore unknown when we will be able to discover Lady Gaga in the guise of a superheroine.
