8 Egyptian girls enter prison through the Tik Tok portal
The Egyptian Public Prosecution charged eight girls with "nudity and engaging in acts contrary to public morals on the application of TikTok", with the aim of achieving fame and quick wealth "after they were arrested in close periods.
Local Egyptian newspapers reported that one of the girls posted videos on the "TikTok" application that asked girls between the ages of 18 and 19 to create accounts on the platform, open the camera and chat with some users, promising them to get sums ranging from $ 36 to 3,000. Dollars, depending on the volume of interaction with their videos, and after the reports filed against her, she was arrested and brought to trial that punished her with two years in prison and a fine of 300,000 pounds.
Another was known in the media as "the tik tok girl", and her name was issued by the Google search engine in the recent period, due to the videos in which she appears in bold clothes on the application.
The security forces arrested her and charged her with violating family principles and values in Egyptian society, by creating and managing private accounts online to commit this crime. During the investigations, Mawaddah confessed to photographing herself naked in order to collect money, and the Economic Court punished her with two years imprisonment and a fine of 300 thousand pounds .
And through a video clip that sparked great controversy, another girl went out, accusing a young man of raping her and filming her and his friends, in abusive conditions against her will, and the video spread on social media, and she was arrested and the girl faces charges of spreading immorality, immorality and misuse of social media.
Among the girls, a girl from Kafr El-Sheikh governorate was accused of providing dance and nudity videos on the apps "TikTok" and "Instagram", and she was arrested on charges of inciting immorality and making indecent videos, while she was with a friend in Benha City, Qalyubia Governorate. The public prosecutor is charged with submitting indecent videos containing pornographic materials.
