  [Explanation] Xie Shiyang, who is more than 60 years old, has been learning bamboo and rattan weaving since the age of 13, and has been more than 50 years now.

When the reporter saw him, he was busy with his colleague Zhang Wei in a corner of the factory.

As early as two years ago, Xie Shiyang began to try to create bamboo weaving QR codes.

  [Explanation] Due to the complex texture of the two-dimensional code and the variety of changes, the thickness of the bamboo slices is also strict. It requires sufficient care and patience to achieve the same.

After repeated attempts, Xie Shiyang finally made the first QR code bamboo woven product that could be scanned out.

Now, his average preparation time for each finished product is about 1 hour.

After the QR code bamboo weaving became popular, many companies have come to customize the bamboo weaving QR code. Xie Shiyang is busy every day.

  [Explanation] Xie Shiyang’s company is a leading company in Yongtai’s local bamboo and wood crafts. The reporter saw that in addition to bamboo weaving skills, many staff members are making rattan weaving.

  [Explanation] Zhang Qingming, the person in charge of the enterprise, is the inheritor of the vine weaving skills of the intangible heritage project in Fuzhou.

In recent years, Zhang Qingming has traveled to major towns and villages in Yongtai, and invited masters of bamboo and rattan weaving skills to the factory.

While integrating the essence of the master's skills into the weaving of bamboo and rattan products, they are also trained in a unified way, making the weaving techniques more refined.

Combining our new craftsmanship with his experience, he will also increase his income by two to three thousand yuan every month. For a left-behind elderly at home, he is a very considerable income, no matter in terms of money. Still mentally, it has got a very good expansion.

In Zhang Qingming's view, we should use fashionable thinking to collide and innovate with traditional craftsmanship, and give new life to old craftsmanship, so that traditional craftsmanship can be better passed on from generation to generation.
