According to the official Weibo news of the Propaganda Department of Shenzhen Baoan District Party Committee, the Housing and Construction Bureau of Shenzhen Baoan District released the accident information, saying that at 18:00 on September 12, Shenzhen Metro Line 20 Airport Phase I A gantry crane collapsed in the track project between the North Station and Chongqing Road Station.
The accident caused 2 deaths and 6 people were injured (1 of whom was seriously injured), all of whom have been sent to hospital for treatment.
On-site rescue has been completed, and accident investigation and aftermath work is underway.
