RT publishes footage of the Burlinskoye salt lake in the Altai Territory, which turns pink. This is due to the crustaceans Artemia salina living in the reservoir - in dry and hot weather, they secrete a pink pigment. The maximum depth of Burlinsky is about two and a half meters. Since the 18th century, salt has been mined on the lake. There are rails along the bottom of the reservoir, along which a salt combine runs, the mineral is collected in trolleys and transported to production.
