In connection with the 75th anniversary of the creation of the UN, the State Duma's International Affairs Committee has prepared a draft statement.

The document speaks of the revisionist aspirations of Western countries regarding the reshaping of the principles of this organization, as well as the memory and interpretation of the events of the Second World War.

It is necessary to recall the simple truth that the creation of the UN and the end of the world war are closely linked.

This is how the multipolar world architecture was consolidated, the equality of countries that became united for the sake of the priority of peace.

Hence the next 75 years without fierce bloody confrontations - largely due to the very architecture, the principles of which are guarded by the UN Charter.

Recently, politicized and ideological bulldozers have been increasingly being driven to this building.

They struggle, if not demolish, then tilt in the right direction, outline a clear vector for reformatting.

Ordinary political raiding ...

Behind the calls for reforming the UN, as a rule, lurks a kind of "color revolution" in the organization.

This is argued by the fact that it is supposedly outdated and is not an unconditional guide to the Western system of values.

And then what's the point in it? ..

All reformist ideas of recent years mainly concern the UN Security Council.

It is regularly proposed to expand the composition of the permanent members, of course, at the expense of representatives of the camp of world democracy.

Every now and then they demand to do something with the right of veto, the very fact of the existence of which annoys many.

All attempts of the western reformist winds, as a rule, are aimed at redistributing spheres of influence, as well as at revising the status quo established in the organization.

Such radicalism is primarily associated with the desire to revise the results of the Second World War, as well as with building new contours of the world order.

It is perfectly clear what it is: the dictate of American interests and will, as well as the comprehensive support of the countries of the democratic axis.

In terms of revising the results of the war, the tendency is also obvious: the USSR, of which Russia is the legal successor, is steadily transferred from the victorious country to the category of the main culprits of the world massacre.

Titanic efforts are now being made to validate this historic fraud.

We are talking about the imbalance of the UN - every time they try to realize these aspirations under the guise of talking about the crisis of the organization.

So in reality is the crisis.

From the point of view of the States and their allies, the UN is not an instrument for unconditionally promoting their interests.

Therefore, it is ineffective and the very meaning of its existence is questionable.

The crisis from the point of view of Russia lies in the fact that in recent decades there has been a practice of making the most important decisions (including radical ones, with bloodshed) on global world problems bypassing this organization.

To put it mildly, cheating practice ...

All this stems from differences in approaches in the perception of the world's largest organization.

Russia still perceives the UN as an arbitration structure, a guarantee of maintaining a balance in the world.

The effectiveness in this direction has been proven by the entire history of the organization.

Still, during its existence, there have been no major global collisions.

Through the prism of a different perception, the United Nations should crown the United States on the world throne.

So it will correspond to the existing realities that divide the world into light and dark sides.

Through this "crowning" the United States could launch a crusade against all that is dark.

The division here is extremely simple: into the light one - everyone who shares American values and gravitates towards them.

On the dark side - those who have fallen into heresy, for whom their sovereignty and interests are important, who are for the diversity of points of view and equal votes.

There are all rebels and unwanted.

It is these “realities” that the UN does not reflect, although it quite often seeks to adapt to them.

Hence the desire to rebuild and reform is understandable.

We all know very well about "rebuild".

This means to break and redraw everything, and then, under the cover of tempting slogans, try to build something fundamentally different, but reflecting the interests of the initiators of this restructuring.

All this is precisely what is said in the draft appeal prepared by the Duma committee: “Hiding behind 'noble' slogans about the need to increase the effectiveness of the UN and promoting initiatives to reform it, a number of Western countries, led by the United States, often seek to reformat this unique organization in order to implement their own selfish interests ".

This is where the practice of imposing unilateral approaches and issuing ultimatums “under the pretext of protecting human rights and moral values” stems from.

In fact, this appeal is composed in the logic of the famous Munich speech of President Putin and will largely follow it.

Let us recall that the Russian president also said that "the only mechanism for making decisions on the use of military force as the last argument can only be the UN Charter."

No one has the right to claim exclusivity in this matter.

As long as the States remain uncrowned, they independently pursue a policy of essentially personal replacement for this organization.

Every time they make it clear that no one is a decree to them, and the UN itself is visiting the promised American land.

Therefore, for example, it is possible to give or not give visas to the participants of certain delegations, or even seize the premises of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the UN.

We divide and rule here - period.

That is why the ideas of transferring the UN headquarters from New York are gaining more and more popularity.

This will give the organization the necessary freedom in decision-making, relieve it of excessive diktat.

Urgent reform.

So the document speaks of the "destructive nature of US actions in the international arena," which manifests itself through the policy of pressure, as well as the practice of unilateral sanctions, which are imposed as a universal rule.

In this destructive plane also lies the struggle by hook or by crook with its main competitors, who have the right of veto in the Security Council: Russia and China.

China was named guilty for the coronavirus pandemic, while Russia is generally responsible for all the world's evils and problems, real or virtual and fictitious - past, present and future.

And all this, recall, turns in the context of revising the history of World War II ...

The United States is trying to reshape this organization, and with it the entire structure of the post-war world order, in order to place its longed-for utopia about the Shining City on the top of the hill on the cleared bridgehead.

This utopianism, imposed on the whole world, is far from harmless.

Especially if you remember about the ever-increasing rumble of weapons rattling.

Even according to the precepts of the architects of Soviet perestroika, we remember that the time of utopias has passed.

Let's not play along and drive the whole world into the format of the barracks of the utopia of the American messianic dream.

It is very dangerous.

Exclusivity and domination are all talk of painful delusions.

In fact, this is a statement prepared by the Russian parliamentarians.

It is about protecting the UN, its original essence, as well as everything for which it was originally created.

The draft statement also states that the central coordinating role of the United Nations should be preserved, as well as the principles of international law based on the Charter of the organization: obligations ".

The Duma document ends with the thesis on the leading role of the UN in the "world architecture of the XXI century."

In fact, a lot depends on this.

World security.

After a horrific world war, this organization has become a symbol and pillar of peace.

What can replace it?

Arbitrariness that opens the doors of chaos? ..

All this is well understood in the Russian parliament.

Its speaker Vyacheslav Volodin noted that "today one of the most dangerous tendencies in world politics is the deliberate undermining and dismantling of the institutions of international law."

He said that the fundamental principles of the UN Charter - sovereignty and non-interference in the internal affairs of other states - "are often pushed into the background or are not taken into account at all."

He warned that such a trend would throw the world back to a state where international relations would turn into a "war of all against all."

This is what the Russian parliamentarians are now going to remind the whole world about.
