Twice as many nursing, medico-technical and rehabilitation staff in public hospitals will be able to benefit from a promotion in 2020 and 2021, as planned by the “Ségur de la santé”, according to a decree published this Thursday in the Official Journal.

This measure had been recorded "pending" the "revision" of the salary scales planned for next year, according to the agreement reached in July between the ministry and the signatory unions (FO, CFDT, Unsa).

Nurses, orderlies and midwives concerned

The “promoted-promotable ratios”, which determine the number of staff eligible for advancement, have therefore been doubled for certain categories of officials.

This concerns in particular the professions of the "care sector" (nurses, nursing assistants, hospital service agents), as well as midwives.

This double dose of promotions also includes medico-technical staff (radio technicians, laboratory technicians and pharmacy assistants) and those in the “rehabilitation sector” (physiotherapists, speech therapists, chiropodists, dieticians, etc.).
