Deprived of MipTV in April, the Croisette will not be entitled to Mipcom either.

The largest international TV program market announced on Thursday that it was canceling its physical edition in 2020, scheduled for October 12 to 14, "due to the continued impact of Covid-19".

The show will be held online.

The third edition of the CanneSeries festival will however take place, as planned, from October 9 to 14, the organizers assured.

“We have indicated that we will only organize the physical event if conditions permit.

Due to the permanent uncertainty surrounding Covid-19 […], we believe that MIPCOM Online + is the most effective way to move forward and bring together the international audiovisual community ”, argues Laurine Garaude, director of the television division of the organizer Reed MIDEM.

The CanneSeries program on September 22

From October 5, participants and exhibitors will have early access to the platform, will be able to attend briefings and the MIPJunior content library.

Then from the 12th to the 16th, they will be able to attend a program of conferences and screenings and set up online meetings.

From October 17 to November 17, this content will be available on demand (replay).

Two episodes of season 4 (the last) of the

Ten Percent series

must be unveiled at the end of the CanneSeries festival, for which the list of guests and the organizational conditions have not yet been detailed.

The program is due to be announced on September 22.
