Dafang County, Guizhou Province, has reissued 479 million yuan in salary allowances for teachers, and the target assessment award has not yet arrived

The Beijing News (trainee reporter Wu Caiqian) On the afternoon of September 10, a reporter from the Beijing News learned from the Dafang Education Bureau of Guizhou Province that as of 12 o'clock yesterday, the local teachers' salaries, subsidies, and five insurances and one housing fund had been reissued in place.

On the afternoon of the 10th, Gao Lin, a physical education teacher at Anle Middle School in Dafang County, told the Beijing News that seven or eight payments have been received recently. The 40,000 to 50,000 wages and subsidies that have been owed in 2015 have all been paid.

"The only difference is that the target assessment award has not yet arrived." Gao Lin said that this is based on the funds and rewards given to teachers' work performance. In 2018, he and other teachers received the 6,000 yuan target assessment award through rights protection, which was originally 24,000. yuan.

As of today, the target assessment awards for 2019 and the first half of 2020 have not yet arrived.

Liu Ming (pseudonym), a Chinese teacher at Dingxin Primary School in Dafang County, has a similar experience to Gao Lin. Since August 31, he has received supplementary payments, including performance-based wages and remote living allowances of about 27,000 yuan, as well as five social insurance and one housing fund. It has been paid, and it is still short of the target assessment award for 2019 so far.

On the afternoon of the 10th, the staff of the Education Bureau of Dafang County said that they have been paying teachers one after another in the past few days.

As of 12 o'clock on the 9th, all arrears of wages and subsidies have been issued to the teacher's personal bank card, and the arrears of five insurances and one housing fund have also been paid in place.

In addition, the above-mentioned staff stated that the target assessment award was allocated by the county government's finances and the Education Bureau did not know the progress of the issuance.

As of press time, the Dafang County government has not responded to this.

According to previous reports, since 2015, Dafang County has owed a total of 479.61 million yuan in teacher performance wages, living allowances, five insurances and one housing fund, and embezzled 341.94 million yuan of special education funds allocated by superiors.

Some local teachers were interviewed more than a dozen times after petitioning, and were told that promotion and evaluation of professional titles would be affected.

In addition, Dafang County initiated the establishment of a financing platform company under the pretext of advancing the reform of the supply and marketing cooperatives, absorbing funds in violation of regulations, compelling teachers to make deposits into shares in disguise, and withholding living allowances for students in difficulties.

Local students and teachers are required to go to the card to deposit money, and performance pay will be paid only after the teacher deposits.
