A highly publicized catch-up.

Investigators from the anti-narcotics office of the Marseille judicial police arrested an individual on Wednesday morning in the Cité des Oliviers, in the northern districts of Marseille.

Aged 25, he was identified as the manager of a narcotics outlet after several months of investigation.

Four other individuals were arrested in apartments used as a place for storage and preparation of products.

In total, 180 kg of cannabis, two assault rifles and 3,000 euros were seized.

I salute the commitment of our #Marseille police forces who have dismantled a network established in the northern districts.

According to the Marseille prosecutor's office, "this point of resale of the city of olive trees A had long been identified as one of the most active in drug trafficking in Marseille, generating a daily turnover estimated at 80,000 euros".

Gérald Darmanin, Minister of the Interior, welcomed this crackdown on Twitter.

But according to our calculations, the seizure would not even represent half of the quantity passed each day in this city.
