The high-grade grape "Shine Muscat" entered the harvest season, and shipment began in Suzaka City, one of the leading production areas in Nagano Prefecture, on the 9th.

According to Nagano Prefecture, Shine Muscat in the prefecture has the second largest shipment volume in Japan after Yamanashi Prefecture, and Suzaka City and Takayama Village are among the leading producers in the prefecture.

Of these, at the shipping station in Suzaka City, shipping of open-grown Shine Muscat began on the 9th, and approximately 2,600 cases were brought in from about 40 farmers.

The carried Shine Muscat was placed on a table, and the inspector instantly judged 25 items such as grain size and coloring of the skin, decided the grade and proceeded with preparation for shipment.

According to JA, this year's grain has grown significantly due to long rain, so the shipping volume is expected to increase by about 1.5 times compared to the usual year, and the sweetness is finished more than usual year by the sunshine last month.

Shine Muscat, which is cultivated in the open field, is expected to continue shipping until the end of next month, and will be sold nationwide in the Tokyo metropolitan area and the Kansai area.

Mr. Taisei Yamaguchi of JA Nagano Sutaka Block said, “It's a relief because shipping volume is likely to increase more than usual year due to long rain. It has enough sugar content so I want children and elderly people to eat it”.
