On September 8, in Lingjiao Village, Wangcun Town, Xiuning County, Anhui Province, a loofah vine hangs high on the courtyard wall, and several loofahs over 1 meter long hang down, becoming a highlight of the village and attracting tourists from other places.
This loofah vine is the seed that villager Yu Shukang bought from other places the year before. It grows longer year after year, and it still thrives in the village.
"My one is not long this year, the one from my neighbor Zhang Haicheng is bigger and longer." Yu Shukang said, he is 1.75 meters tall, and that loofah is the same length as him. It is the loofah king of Murakami this year.
