It was after Friday's premiere of Mulan that fans discovered a thank you in the afterwords, addressed to the propaganda ministry and security police in Xinjiang.

It was the starting shot for a massive critique on social media.

SVT's foreign reporter Tilde Lewin comments on the incident.

- The security police are of course involved in these major abuses against Uighurs and Kazakhs and other minorities in Xinjiang, then you can understand that Disney must thank local authorities when they have chosen to record in this place, she says and continues:

- The big companies in Hollywood have to care about the Chinese market because it is so incredibly important to them.

2013 was the first time that a large American production brought in more money in China than in the American market.

It has just continued and soon China will be the big market for Hollywood movies, says Tilde Lewin.
