This Taihu stone is an old thing from the Lion Grove of Changchun Garden in the Old Summer Palace. It is a North Taihu stone, which is different from the South Taihu stone we have seen. It was produced in Fangshan, Beijing during the Qianlong period. Qianlong used it for stacking. One piece of the lion forest rockery.

Even more distinctive is that two poems inscribed by Qianlong praising the rockery, one of the "Sixteen Scenic Spots of the Lion Grove", were engraved on this Taihu stone.

By comparing Qianlong's imperial poetry collections and searching for historical documents, we found evidence that it is a stone carving of the Lion Forest. We also invited experts from the Beijing Municipal Cultural Relics Appraisal Committee to appraise the shape of the stone carving.

[Explanation] The reporter saw on the spot that the Taihu stone is simple in shape and natural, with a rectangular stone seat.

On the upper part of the front of Hushi, there is a poem in a running script on the left and right.

One is "Rockery" and the other is "Right Rockery".

Yanshi used to make the lake rock, and the superimposed rock wall is also beautiful.

Yuweng should be a true person, what happened to stack up a rockery.

This "yuweng" also refers to Ni Zan and Ni Yunlin.

This rockery is the nearest source, so that the Xishan Exquisite Stone will not let the Taihu Stone, in fact, is to interpret his first sentence, thinking that the Yan Stone is no worse than the Taihu Stone in the south.

At the same time, he (Qianlong) also believes that his own behavior of collecting materials on the spot is much more intelligent than the behavior of Song Huizong to build Genyue during the Song Dynasty.

Therefore, all the rockery in the Lion Grove of Changchun Garden of Old Summer Palace is made of North Taihu Stone, the swallow stone mentioned by Qianlong.

[Explanation] According to the introduction, the Lion Grove of Yuanmingyuan is located in the northeast of Changchun Garden. It was completed in 1772. There are more than ten pavilions and more than 100 rooms. It is especially famous for its stacked stones. In the Garden.

The rockery in the park is rugged and the buildings are exquisite and exquisite. Emperor Qianlong once inscribed the "Sixteen Scenes of the Lion Forest" ten times.

In 1860, most of the lake rocks and stone carvings were lost after the looting of the Lion Forest.

A thunder map of the flourishing style, the thunder map of the lion forest style in the prime of time.

This scene of the rockery is one of the "Sixteen Views of the Lion Forest" inscribed by Qianlong. It is probably in this position. This is the position of the rockery, but the scene of the rockery no longer exists. Many rockery rocks are already there. Scattered and lost, rockery like this carved with Qianlong imperial poems is very, very rare.

The stone itself is exquisite and clear, very beautiful, and basically possesses a very aesthetic characteristic of rockery. There are many holes, very beautiful and exquisite, and the more valuable place is in this stone carving.

[Explanation] It is reported that the Old Summer Palace has always attached great importance to the return of exile cultural relics and has received more than 20 cultural relic donations so far.
