China News Service, Zhoushan, September 5 (Reporter Li Dian) On September 5, Xie Mou, a major economic criminal suspect who absconded in Canada for 6 years, was successfully persuaded to return to the SDIC case by the Zhejiang Province and Zhoushan City police and expressed his willingness to be positive. He returned the stolen goods and became the province's first fugitive from abroad to surrender from Canada in the "Fox Hunt 2020" special operation.

It is reported that Xie was a legal person of a group company before fleeing and was suspected of fraudulently obtaining bills for acceptance.

In order to avoid legal liability, Xie fled to Canada in June 2015.

In April 2016, the Zhejiang Provincial Public Security Bureau filed a case for investigation.

In December 2016, the Zhejiang Provincial People's Procuratorate approved his arrest on suspicion of fraudulently obtaining bills acceptance.

Xie surrendered.

In the past 6 years, the two-level public security organs of Zhejiang Province and Zhoushan City have formed a joint arrest team to find Xie’s traces and contact Xie directly through related persons to explain the law and persuade him to return to China and surrender the case. The domestic assets and creditor rights of the 6 companies involved were sealed and frozen in time.

In the end, Xie sent a "Repentance Letter" to the country, expressing his willingness to return to China to surrender and actively return the stolen money to recover economic losses.
