On September 4, affected by the typhoon "Mesaq" and heavy rainfall, Xigangzi Town, Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province suffered severe water damage. Village officials and villagers were on guard 24 hours a day.
Liangjitun is one of the villages in Xigangzi Town that was severely affected by the water damage. At present, the three roads to the village are due to excessive surface overflow and large area, diversion and flood discharge excavation section of the village road, and heavy rainfall. It is no longer passable.
The depth of water in the five rural houses in the village is as high as 10 centimeters. The villagers are actively organizing rescue and self-rescue, strengthening the dam, draining waterlogging and fighting floods.
At the same time, all 16 gates of the Xigangzi Gatun Reservoir have been opened, and the flood is being discharged to ensure safety.
Up to now, after preliminary statistics and calculations, affected by the typhoon and heavy rainfall, Xigangzi Town’s crop lodging area was 7,400 mu and the flood disaster area was 25,000 mu, causing economic losses of more than 11 million yuan.
