China News Service, Macau, September 4 (Reporter Long Tuyou) At 9:40 am on the 4th, the Ship Traffic Management Center of Macau Maritime Safety Administration received a report that it was about 2 nautical miles southeast of the runway of Macau International Airport (to the east of Black Sand Beach) When a fishing boat caught fire, a rescue boat and the customs immediately rushed to the scene for rescue and quickly put out the fishing boat fire.

  According to the Maritime Affairs and Water Affairs Bureau, the ship "Yueyang Jiangyu 041XX" was a mainland-registered fishing boat. Four people on board had been rescued by nearby vessels and had been safely transferred to the mainland fishery administration vessel.

  The fishing boat involved in the accident suffered serious water damage due to its stern burnt down, and it had sunk by the time this reporter wrote.

Vessels of the Maritime and Water Affairs Bureau are still on guard in the surrounding waters and assist in follow-up work.
