  • A week after the elimination of Marie-France, candidate for the Northern team, the second program of the new season of

    Koh-Lanta

    is broadcast this Friday.

  • The only representative of the South West in the South team, Aubin looks back on the start of an adventure that changed his life.

  • The young Gersois, now 24, is already hot for a new adventure.

This Friday on TF1, Aubin Bligny (24) will proudly represent the Gers again, in

Koh Lanta

, “Les 4 Terres” version.

The real estate agent from Mauvezin returned to the phone on Wednesday on this adventure which deeply marked him.

With, in the background, the twittering of his son Noré (19 months).

Since last Friday and the first show of this new season, have you been recognized in the street?

Yes, it's funny.

The first time, I went for a jog in a small village near my home, in Sarrant, because in Mauvezin, it is not possible (laughs).

The same questions come up every time.

"Is it hard?"

"" Is it in real life like on TV?

But it's always benevolent.

Before the show started, you explained to

La Dépêche du Midi

that you expected to have criticism on social media.

What is it?

Physically, I don't have the typical profile of the

Koh-Lanta

adventurer

, I knew that was going to make some people react.

But out of 100 messages, there are maybe three that are going to be roomers.

I don't care, I look at the other 97.

Can we say that "Koh-Lanta" has changed your life?

Yes.

Before, I lived like everyone else, without paying too much attention to everyday things.

I became aware of the importance of details, such as heating, tap water… It seemed so important to me there…

What relationship did you have with the show as a spectator?

I've been watching the show since I was little.

I grew up with it.

With my little brother Matthis (21 years old today), we had fun redoing the tests in the garden.

I had already wanted to register when I was 19.

I had prepared the mail, the photos… But I never dared to post them, I don't really know why.

Maybe I was too young… Four years later, I saw the call for applications during the show broadcast in early 2019. This time, the process was completed.

Finding you in the South team was a total surprise ...

Completely.

We arrive, we do not know anything.

When Denis (Brogniart) tells us that the teams are already formed, that there are four, each made up of six people, and that the game will be done by regions, that's a lot of information to assimilate at once.

It's great, but it adds extra pressure.

You represent a region, you cannot miss it.

Will “Koh-Lanta” awaken public chauvinism this season?

You find yourself in the team with candidates from the South East, while François le Basque or Diane la Béarnaise, your neighbors in a way, are in the West team.

It is true that I feel closer to a Basque than to a Marseillais, especially since I go on vacation to the Basque Country.

Besides, I sometimes see me looking for François.

But we had to find borders.

That said, when we see (in the first show) that my teammates had all eaten sea urchins and that I had never eaten in my life, we can see the difference (laughs).

Did the practice of rugby, as a pillar in Mauvezin (in Honor), help you?

Rugby brings its values of fighting spirit.

Once we reach our maximum, we still have to push.

There is also all the spirit of camaraderie that we find on the camp.

Is the game harder than you think?

Yes, much harder.

Several adventurers said it before me, I read their interviews.

But when you don't see it, you don't understand.

Real hunger, I had never known it… I had already slept on the floor during a fair, but the context was not the same.

Everything is also much longer than what we see on TV, where there are inevitably cuts, editing.

If we are not performing well in a discipline, we are even less so with discomfort, lack of sleep, hunger and heat.

Especially since there are real "machines" among the candidates, like Brice and Dorian in the West or Mathieu in the South ...

There is also Sébastien (member of the South team), who runs trail races, such as the Festival des Templiers in Millau.

With me running 5 kilometers from time to time, the contrast was enormous!

But it makes the game even more beautiful.

There are people who are athletically huge, and others who are much less.

But some who are successful in one discipline will not necessarily be in another.

Anyone can participate, as long as the head follows.

The mind is 80% in

Koh-Lanta

.

By the way, is it hard to hide his absence during the shoot?

It's complicated yes.

I used the pretext of a language trip to Australia.

But the country went up in flames, everyone was worried, and I didn't respond.

It was my partner who took care of my social networks and answered only a few relatives.

Okay, it's over.

Fortunately, I am surrounded by people who are not very good at English because when I came back I spoke it as badly as before (laughs).

Did you keep in touch with the other candidates?

Yes, I am in contact with a lot of people every day.

Even more when there is a show.

These are connections as important as any I can have with friends I've known for 10 or 15 years.

Would you be ready to participate in a new season?

I'll leave tomorrow if I am asked!

By the way, you had quit smoking to participate in "Koh-Lanta".

Did you pick up on your return?

No.

I had quit in August 2019 when I saw that it was starting to smell good for my application.

I knew that there, it was going to create one more need for me.

When I got home, I told myself I didn't need to take it back, and I didn't take it back.
