Harry and Meghan will go behind the camera.

The couple will produce fiction films, documentaries and series for Netflix, the video-on-demand platform announced on Wednesday.

The amount of the contract was not disclosed.

It is only about content production and does not anticipate Meghan, an actress who has appeared in several series, to return to the camera.

The couple already have several projects in the works, Netflix said, including a nature documentary series and an animated series dedicated to women with remarkable destinies.

"Informative content but also a vector of hope"

"We will focus on creating informative content but also a vector of hope," Meghan and Harry said in a statement.

“Our existences, independently of each other and as a couple, have allowed us to understand the power of the human soul, courage, resilience and the need for interactions,” they added.

The rumor of the entry of the princely couple in the world of television had been circulating for several months.

Harry and Meghan moved to the United States this year and in July moved to California, home of the 39-year-old actress.

Eager to attract names to further increase its audience, Netflix has not hesitated to put tens of millions of dollars on the table in recent years to recruit, among others, the Obama couple, the successful producer Shonda Rhimes or the creators of the
