Almost a month ago, on Tuesday August 4, Beirut was devastated by a powerful explosion that claimed the lives of nearly 190 people.

The trauma and the damage further aggravate Lebanon's economic and social descent into hell, against a backdrop of political deadlock and anger from part of the population towards the country's leaders.
