On Tuesday, an impressive queue formed on the Place de la Comédie, in Montpellier (Hérault), to access the Covid-19 screening center installed on the Charles-de-Gaulle esplanade: very popular, this drive pedestrian is open Tuesday and Thursday, 9 am to 12 noon, but can only accommodate 300 people per morning.

It is not the only screening center open in the Hérault capital.

Another drive, accessible by car, has been open since Wednesday at the Domaine d'O, at the Jean-Claude-Carrière theater.

It is accessible Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9 am to 12 noon.

Like the one in the city center, it can only perform 300 tests per day.

Private laboratories

These two drives are accessible free of charge to everyone, without an appointment, without a medical prescription, without a Vitale card.

Wearing a mask is compulsory.

In Montpellier, many private laboratories also offer free tests.

But if the drives located on the Charles-de-Gaulle esplanade and at the Domaine d'O are open to all, access to laboratories "concerns more symptomatic people, cases of contact or developing more severe forms of the disease", note the city of Montpellier, which lists them all on montpellier.fr.
