In December 2019, the Qingpu Branch of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau discovered during its work that some people sold suspected counterfeit LV bags and related accessories through Moments.

After investigation, the goods sold by the WeChat account are counterfeit goods and the sales volume is huge. The actual user of the WeChat account is Zheng XX who lives in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province.

Subsequently, under the guidance of the Economic Investigation Corps of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau and other departments, the Qingpu Police deployed multi-department police forces to set up a task force to conduct joint operations with multiple types of police, trace the source through multiple methods, and investigate trends from point-to-face in-depth analysis, research and judgment. Strikes, and the whole chain strikes a solid foundation.

After months of careful investigation by the police, a counterfeit production and sales gang headed by Xu XX, Zheng XX and others hiding in Guangzhou, Dongguan, and Foshan gradually surfaced.

On June 29, the task force rushed to Guangdong to conduct an on-site investigation and gradually ascertain the distribution and division of the upstream and downstream chains of the counterfeit gang.

The gang has a clear hierarchy and meticulous division of labor. The upstream is mainly a bag raw material counterfeiting gang headed by Zheng and Yang, responsible for the production and processing of counterfeit hardware accessories and leather materials.

The midstream is a counterfeit bag production and wholesale group headed by Xu.

The downstream is a counterfeit sales group headed by Tang XX and Lin XX. As a first-level distributor, they recruit large buyers by opening stalls and sell in order wholesale mode. At the same time, they also use WeChat Moments for external retail. So as to sell counterfeit brand bags to all parts of the country.

At the same time, the task force conducted repeated inspections of the gang's accessories, packaged counterfeit factories, storage warehouses, sales outlets, and the main criminal's temporary residence to prepare for the unified network resumption.

Due to the complex and intertwined counterfeit production and sales network, more than 40 dens in 3 cities in Guangdong Province are involved.

"Start action!" At 9 o'clock in the morning on July 14, with the strong assistance of the local public security organs, Qingpu police issued a unified order to collect the network, and the collection was carried out simultaneously in more than 40 dens in Guangzhou, Dongguan, Foshan and other places in Guangdong Province. The Internet, in one fell swoop, destroyed a criminal gang that produced and sold counterfeit LV bags headed by Zheng and Xu.

After investigation, Zheng XX, Yang XX, etc., in order to seek illegal benefits, without the authorization of the brand company, colluded with the Guangzhou LV brand counter, Shi, to imitate genuine LV bags.

In the meantime, Shi still used the convenience of work when he knew that the other party was making counterfeit products. Before the public sale period of the new product bags, he obtained new product bags in advance through other counters and other channels and sold them to counterfeiting gangs for imitation at an increased price. Branded bags can be sold simultaneously or even earlier than the public sale of genuine bags.

After imitation, Zheng, Yang and others set up private dens and stalls in Guangzhou, Dongguan and other places in Guangdong Province to mass produce hardware accessories and leathers with LV brand trademarks, and then sell them to Xu and others. .

After Lin and Tang increased their prices by 40%, they wholesaled and distributed them to many places across the country, and even sold them overseas at a price of 400-700 yuan each, which was far below the market price.

In addition, in order to confuse consumers, the counterfeiting gang has also launched an "independent research and development" to implant NFC chips that are not available in genuine bags in counterfeit bags.

The gang member Wu Moumou and others purchase ordinary NFC chips online, write the official website information of genuine bags into the chips through software, and implant fake bags.

According to the brand owner, LV genuine bags do not have such NFC sensor chips, but all bags that can be detected by the mobile phone’s NFC sensor function are counterfeit.
