The talk shows "Quotidien" (on TMC), "C à vous" (on France 5) and "Touche pas à mon poste!"

(C8) returned to school in 2020 on August 31.

A very scrutinized moment to set the trend and imagine who will do well for the coming season.

And the hearings of the return to the antenna have already designated a winner.

The three main talk shows have made their comeback.

On August 31st, Yann Barthès and

Quotidien

returned to the air

on TMC, Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine and

C à vous

on France 5, and Cyril Hanouna on C8 with

Barthès top, Hanouna flop

To compare the audiences for the three prime-time accesses, you have to look at the average audience for each channel between 7.45 p.m. and 9.25 p.m.

In this box, Cyril Hanouna brought together 684,000 viewers with

Touche pas à mon poste!

 and

Take it or

leave it, or 3% audience share (PDA).

This is a significant drop compared to last year when, on an almost similar schedule, the first and second part of

 TPMP

had gathered 1.1 million people, for 5.1% of PDA.

Conversely, Yann Barthès' talk show points to 1.5 million viewers (or 6.9% of the public) on the same time slot.

An increase in the return to school compared to 440,000 fewer viewers in 2019, with 5.2% audience share.

Good news for TMC, which is coming out of its worst August in 11 years, with an average PDA of 2.6%.

For her part, Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine gathered an average of 777,000 viewers in front of

C à vous

 and

C à vous: la suite

(from 7 pm to 8:25 pm).

Or 4.1% audience share.

France 5 is therefore making a stable comeback, at a level comparable to that of 2019.
