New obligations, and bans, in the Vaucluse and Avignon from this Tuesday. The prefect of Vaucluse, a department that has been placed in an active circulation zone for the virus, announced on Monday that it had taken a series of measures to fight against the spread of Covid-19.

The wearing of the compulsory mask is now extended to Avignon intramural, to the station-center sector and to the open-air markets of Avignon. This obligation is incumbent on people over 11, pedestrians, users of scooters and other personal mobility devices, motorized or not.

At the level of the department, wearing a mask is now compulsory in the center of municipalities with more than 9,500 inhabitants, but also for all gatherings of more than ten people. The prefect of Vaucluse has also banned dance evenings in a commercial setting, as for local festivities, until further notice.
