[Poverty alleviation story] The post-90s girl who is shepherding the sheep while broadcasting live: E-commerce brings goods and gets rich

[Live Voice] Thank you for coming to the live broadcast room. Show you the sheep, this Boer goat, go home! Look! Go home. Go home.

[Explanation] In Shucheng County, Lu'an City, Anhui Province, there is such an Internet celebrity farmer Zhang Zhiju. Recently, when the reporter saw her, she was live broadcasting while herding sheep on her farm. This seemingly ordinary post-90s girl returned to her hometown to start her own business in 2017. After several years of hard work, she not only made her life more and more prosperous, but also successfully drove the surrounding farmers to increase their income and become rich.

[Explanation] In 2017, Zhang Zhiju quit his job in the city because his adoptive father was seriously ill, and took his father to seek medical advice. In the end, she owed a debt of 180,000 yuan. When she returned to her hometown, she had only 400 yuan and 6 pigs left in her hands. How to find a way out in desperation? By chance, Zhang Zhiju found a business opportunity.

I have a habit of writing a diary since I was young. I would take some rural customs, such as making handicrafts and picking things in the mountains, into pictures and compile them into texts, and post them in Meipian (graphic creation sharing software). After posting, everyone commented and said "how to sell this". All of a sudden, my brain is brightened, this can make money. All of a sudden, I sold 6 pigs in just two days. I was very excited at that time, and I found it amazing. Later, I got more and more energetic.

[Explanation] Since then, with the help of e-commerce sales, Zhang Zhiju has continued to expand his breeding scale, using idle land transferred by surrounding farmers to open farms. In September 2018, she founded a farmer cooperative in the local area to purchase local products grown by nearby farmers and sell them online and offline. Annual sales can reach 800,000 yuan, and so far it has driven more than 800 local farmers to increase their income.

The most advantageous place here is the land and air. They (the villagers) also have hardworking hands. For example, we want chestnuts this season. I do want chestnuts. You pick it up. The market sells it at 3 yuan (per catty), and we will give you 3 yuan (per catty). I am willing to pay the money, but you have to guarantee my quality. As soon as we promise to give cash, and the second promise to absolutely accept, we will give a deposit. They (the villagers) might just sell it on the street, but very few. But they can send one hundred catties or two hundred catties to me, and I can buy them in large quantities.

[Explanation] With the rise of live broadcasting, Zhang Zhiju also followed the trend to open a live broadcast account, using Dashan as the live broadcast room to live broadcast while doing farm work. At present, he has nearly 20,000 fans. During the live broadcast, Zhang Zhiju not only introduced his own agricultural products and shared interesting facts about rural life, but also released information about poor farmers' unsalable sales to help them get out of their predicament.

Nature is my live broadcast room, live broadcast twice a week, we will show you the most simple things and the lowest prices in the area. We have 13 poor households here, and his chickens and ducks were not sold during the epidemic. Later, when we broadcast live online, we also sold these roosters. We have a charity group and a friend in the live broadcast room. We will write down the needs of local farmers in it and mobilize these people to buy it. We will say the same in the live broadcast room.

[Explanation] Zhang Zhiju said that she is grateful to the mountain village where she was born and raised, and she believes that the development space in the countryside is equally vast. As a post-90s generation, she also hopes that more young people are willing to return to the mountain village to help her hometown get rid of poverty.

As a post-90s, everyone is asking me that post-90s should work hard outside. But in my world, in my heart, I feel that the countryside also needs young people here, and as a post-90s, I am willing to stay in my hometown. In the future, I want to do it steadily, so that the farmers around me can take care of it, and at the same time, I will take it easy. I also very much hope that there are young people like me in all parts of the country who are willing to stay in their hometowns, and they can also drive everyone's economy. Through hard work, we can also be well-off and develop towards a better life.
