Wang Jiangfei's girlfriend saw a video of her boyfriend taking part in the rescue while she was using Douyin. Someone exclaimed in the video, and saw Wang Jiangfei raise his arm, and a wall hit his arm. On the same day, Wang Jiangfei and teammate Zhang Zechen were trying their best to rescue a little girl who was buried under a few crumbling walls.
Zhang Zechen lowered his head and quickly moved the bricks with his hands, while Wang Jiangfei was responsible for the delivery and cleaning. When Wang Jiangfei received the bricks and lifted up to transport them, he suddenly saw the wall near Zhang Zechen collapse. Ignoring too much, Wang Jiangfei raised his hand to block, and the heavy wall hit his arm. Because of Wang Jiangfei's gear, the extent of his teammates being smashed was greatly reduced.

At about 9:40 on the 29th, a collapse occurred in the banquet hall of the Juxian Hotel in Chenzhuang Village, Taosi Township, Xiangfen County, causing many people to be buried. After the accident, a major accident rescue team was set up at the scene, and more than 840 firefighting, public security, emergency, health and related rescue teams were organized to go all out to hurry and fight for lives to launch rescues.
During the rescue process, the Shanxi Fire and Rescue Corps successively mobilized 212 fire fighters and 8 search and rescue dogs to carry out the rescue. In the meantime, in order to avoid causing secondary injury to the trapped personnel, all commanders and fighters used manual operations to search and rescue. Until the later stage of the rescue, the safety of the trapped personnel was ensured, and then large-scale machinery was used to expand the field work surface.

The fire rescue station at Yingbin Road, Xiangfen County where Zhao Jinhua is located was the first rescue team to arrive at the scene. When they arrived, the scene was full of calls for help and crying, and there were collapsed floors everywhere, dusty and chaotic.
"Help me, I'm stuck." During the search, a low voice came. Zhao Jinhua ran to the sound, and saw an old man covered in dust calling for help in a triangle formed by a collapsed floor and wall. The old man's feet were pressed and could not move, and the two swaying floors on his head could fall off at any time.
Zhao Jinhua braved the risk and went deep into the triangle area. When he reached the location of the old man, the floor slab on the old man's head suddenly shook. “You have to rescue people quickly. If there is a second collapse, it will be troublesome.” Although there was panic in his heart, Zhao Jinhua comforted the old man and began to deal with the broken pieces at his feet with the tools in his hands. The old man was quickly saved.
"This is the first trapped person I rescued and the first person rescued in the rescue that day. The old man is basically fine, which is an inspiration to us." Zhao Jinhua said.
Fifty-seven people were trapped in the collapse, and all trapped people were rescued. Among them, 29 were killed, 7 were seriously injured, and 21 were slightly injured.
