Albert Dupontel for the presentation of "9 mois ferme" in 2014 - REX / REX / SIPA

We had to wait three years before discovering his new film. Since Goodbye up there and his consecration to the César with five awards won, including that of best director, Albert Dupontel has devoted himself to Adieu les cons . His next feature film, scheduled for release on October 21, is now revealed in a first trailer.

We discover Virginie Efira in the role of Suze Trappet, a 43-year-old woman whose life is turned upside down after learning that she was seriously ill. Following this news, she decides to go in search of the child she abandoned when she was 15 years old. In her journey, she will cross the road of JB, a depressive fifty-year-old civil servant in full burnout, played by Albert Dupontel, and of Mr. Blin, a blind archivist played by Nicolas Marié.

"For this story, I started with the idea of opposing two roofs: someone who wants to live but who cannot, to someone who could live but who does not want", Albert Dupontel told France Inter . The film, presented at the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival, marks the first collaboration between the director and Virginie Efira. Quite the opposite for Nicolas Marié, whom Dupontel finds for the sixth time on the screen.
