Scientists found a 100-pound (45 kg) male and a 46-pound (20 kg) female in a circular trap in the New River north of Gainesville, Florida, along with another 64-pound (29 kg) male who was found in a trap. nearby.

Scientists believed in the past that there is one type of turtle living from the "crocodile" family, but they found a third type, which is the "Apalachicola" turtle, which came as a surprise to them, according to the "Daily Mail".

The "crocodile" turtle is one of the largest freshwater turtles in North America.
