Koh Lanta returns on Friday August 28 for "the 4 lands", a new season with new rules. Its producer Alexia Laroche-Joubert explains the new features of the show to now four teams, in the show "Culture Médias".

INTERVIEW

We already knew that the new season would no longer have two, but four teams. On the occasion of the broadcast this Friday, August 28 of Koh Lanta les 4 lands , its producer Alexia Laroche-Joubert unveiled on Europe 1 other novelties on the successful survival show of TF1.

No more reds against yellows, Koh Lanta now welcomes 24 candidates divided between orange, purple, blue and green teams, representing the "four quarters of France." And the adventure begins strong. "A team will lose [a test] from the start and will not even have the chance to discover its camp," Alexis Laroche-Joubert promises Philippe Vandel. The six losers will immediately be sent to the central island, a big novelty of the season.

Two awards ... and an infernal island

Each test of comfort will indeed give access to new rewards and a punishment. One prize of your choice for the team that came in first, the remaining prize for the second. The stay on the central island for the losers promises to be a real ordeal. "The shock is ultra violent", explains the producer. "There is no water, nothing to eat. It's really windswept, it's cold, it's raining: hell."

This season therefore promises great sensations. And it will take to exceed the record audiences of the previous one. It gathered up to 7.5 million viewers, thanks to candidates already known to the public ... and especially to confinement.
