Two lions eating a man in South Africa in front of his wife

Police in Limpopo province, northern South Africa, said today, Thursday, that a citizen died after being struck by two white lions, under the sight and hearing of his wife, who could not do anything to stop them.
South African police said that the victim, West Matthewson, 69, was killed by two of his lions, while he was walking out on Wednesday morning around the safari lodge that he runs.
When the police and emergency services arrived, the man had died as a result of multiple injuries.
Brigadier Mutlavela told the German news agency (dpa) by phone: "The victim used to wander around with those lions in the hostel farm."
He added, "It seems that lions used to be accustomed to it, but we, as policemen, always warn people that they must always be careful of wild animals, regardless of the conditions in which they live."
Pictures posted on the lodge's website showed its visitors taking pictures alongside the lions.
Police indicated that since the accident, the two lions have been moved to another safari inn.
