On August 26, local time, on the streets of Tokyo, Japan, people experienced colored smart glass public toilets. The glass will become opaque when the toilet is locked. The toilet was designed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, and its design purpose is to allow users to view the cleanliness and usage rate of the toilet from the outside. This is part of the Tokyo Toilet Project, which allowed different designers to redesign 17 public toilets in the Japanese capital.
