　　In the early 1960s, Fei Liang and Ye Changyuan successively entered the Institute of Agricultural Biology, Sichuan Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (now the Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences). Before that, they all studied at Sichuan Agricultural University.

　　Ye Changyuan still remembers the scene of seeing Fei Liang again after graduation. "At that time, I was lined up in the cafeteria for dinner with my colleagues in the courtyard. 　　In 1962, the Institute organized two teams to go to Erlang Mountain for biological inspection. Fei Liang and Ye Changyuan were assigned to a small animal expedition team and an amphibious reptile expedition team, one on the west slope of the mountain and the other on the east slope. From west to east, it takes more than three hours to climb the entire hill.

　　Because the expedition team used to live in Daoban, Fei Liang and the workers got acquainted, and occasionally asked their relationship to hitchhiking to see Ye Changyuan.

Golden partner

One "main inside" and one "main outside"

　　In 1964, Ye Changyuan suspended her field surgery examination after she was pregnant. Fei Liang and Ye Changyuan began to cooperate "internally and externally". According to work needs, one person mainly went to the field to collect specimens, while the other stayed at home to organize the data.

　　From March to August each year is the time for amphibian researchers to take field surgery examinations, and it takes one month to six months to come down. Before each departure, Ye Changyuan would help Fei Liang pack his luggage. In addition to the collection net, specimen box and cloth bag necessary for scientific research, he would also fold clothes in the box, put many pairs of straw shoes or boots, and prepare some medicine.

　　Thousands of specimens were collected in each scientific expedition, and Ye Changyuan, who stayed behind in the laboratory, was mainly responsible for the sorting of specimens and data collection.

　　In Fei Liang's memory, Ye Changyuan complained only once. At that time, the two children were only a few years old and needed someone to take care of them, but he basically soaked in the wild, and left in a hurry a few days after returning from the Spring Festival.

　　After that, Ye Changyuan felt heart discomfort, but couldn't find out the cause. I couldn't hold it anymore, so I wrote a letter to my husband in Yunnan. In the letter, Ye Changyuan put down the only "ruthless remark": "You figure it out, and you won't come back. Solve our problems."

Old age

　　Once, Fei Liang did an experiment on communication between frogs. They first recorded the male frog's voice, and after catching the female frog, they played the male frog's voice. The female frog immediately reacted upon hearing it and even jumped onto the horn.

　　Fei Liang believes that this is love between animals. Just like a partner in the world, based on a common language, they have the same mind.

　　Therefore, despite all the hard work, he and his wife have passed a Jiazi together. Among them, more is happy.

　　The two enjoyed the time of investigating together, going out for meetings, and visiting. "It took 20 years to compile the Zoology Amphibians, and we were happiest when we handed it in." After that, Fei Liang asked his wife beside him sideways: "Others, what else do you think you are happy about? ."

　　What makes Ye Changyuan happy is also very simple. Fei Liang often has to dissect specimens and draw bone diagrams. "Once it succeeds, I will immediately say,'Congratulations, congratulations'. I am very happy to see his successful autopsy."

　　The two elderly people who should have enjoyed their old age a long time ago insisted on arriving on time every day. Ye Changyuan's actions became slow, and Fei Liang patiently accompany her by her side as her support and crutches.
