"As soon as the legal proceedings are over, they will be taken back to the border because they have nothing to do on national soil," tweeted the Minister of the Interior. Darmanin's entourage told AFP that the four accused will be affected by this expulsion measure.

The accused are now under judicial supervision and will be tried. As soon as the legal proceedings are over, they will be taken back to the border because they have nothing to do on national soil.https: //t.co/LaA0uJCioY

Police alerted by boyfriend

The parents of the 17-year-old girl, her uncle and her aunt were placed on Thursday under judicial supervision pending their trial, in the fall, before the criminal court of Besançon for "violence against a minor in the presence of minors and in a meeting ". They had been arrested Monday by the police, alerted by the boyfriend of the teenager, after having beaten her and having cut her hair.

Her parents, who arrived from Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2017, did not accept that she wanted to marry her boyfriend, a Christian Serbian living in the same building in Besançon. After having been definitively rejected of the right to asylum in December 2019, the parents of the teenager were subject to an obligation to leave French territory, said the secretary general of the prefecture of Doubs, Jean-Philippe Setbon.

"We will have to wait for the judgment to negotiate a removal"

Parents of five children, they then applied for assisted voluntary return, but the procedure had stopped with the coronavirus epidemic and the closure of the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina. "We will have to wait for the judgment to negotiate a removal", added Mr. Setbon, specifying that the young girl, under judicial protection in an adapted structure, will not be affected by this measure.

The uncle and aunt, who arrived in France in 2016, benefit from a refugee status which could be withdrawn from them "given their involvement, according to the judgment", further warned Mr. Setbon. Last Monday, after a four-day runaway, the two teenagers went to the girl's family home accompanied by the boy's parents. But the situation quickly escalated.

According to the statements of the victim, who suffered in particular from a broken rib and numerous bruises, it was his uncle, at the request of his father, who clipped him and cut his long hair.
