On the evening of the 22nd, an agricultural house came into contact with the Hokuriku Shinkansen running in Miyota Town, Nagano Prefecture, and the Hokuriku Shinkansen was suspended for up to 6 hours between Takasaki Station in Nagano Prefecture and Gunma Prefecture.

According to JR East, the Hokuriku Shinkansen "Hakutaka 570" that was traveling in Miyota-cho was contacting an agricultural house after 6 pm on the 22nd.

According to the JR, the driver found that the agricultural house was caught on the wall beside the railroad track on the left side in the direction of travel, applied the emergency brake, but could not stop the vehicle and contacted him.

About 160 passengers were injured.

Due to this effect, the Hokuriku Shinkansen suspended the operation between Nagano Station and Takasaki Station on the up and down lines, and restarted at about 6:30 am, about 6 hours later.

This resulted in suspension and delay of 26 lines in total for up and down, affecting about 2600 passengers in total.

According to the Nagano Local Meteorological Observatory, the atmosphere in the prefecture became unstable from the afternoon of the 22nd, and tornado caution information was temporarily issued to the central part of the prefecture including Miyota Town.

At around 6 pm, it was possible that a gust had blown because it was raining due to the rain clouds that developed around Miyoda Town.
